NICK GABRIEL
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Gabriel received a BFA in musical theater from the University of Michigan and an MFA in acting from A.C.T. He privately studied the pedagogy of Michael Chekhov with Joanna Merlin before becoming a certified practitioner of the Michael Chekhov Technique under the auspices of the Michael Chekhov Association. He is a Designated Meisner Teacher and a Patsy Rodenburg Associate. He is a member of Theatrical Intimacy Education’s inaugural Educator Advocate Program, and has trained extensively in theatrical violence with Dueling Arts International.
Having trained intensively as a dancer for over a decade under the tutelage of Madeline Canterella-Culpo, Gabriel subsequently performed principal character roles in story ballets such as PETROUCHKA and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM with the Berkshire Ballet.
He has been a member of Actors' Equity Association for over twenty years and also belongs to the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
